In response to the suggestion of the government to increase the number of electronic cards in use at Malaysian highway, SMART has taken the initiative to provide new reload lane services in order to help motorists in reloading their cards without having to get out of their vehicles and the operations started February 2, 2010. The launch was held on 9 February 2010 at the SMART Toll Plaza and the ceremony was officiated by SMART General Manager, Encik Mohd Fuad Kamal Ariffin witnessed by representatives from the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) and Touch n 'Go Sdn Bhd. To facilitate the Touch n’ Go and MyKad prepaid card use at SMART highway, reload service can be made in cash at the selected SMART cash lanes and operation times are from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm daily. The specific time was chosen to avoid the congestion that might occur if operates during peak hours.
