TUNNEL TRAFFIC CONTROLLER
The Job
This person will be responsible to conduct real time control and monitor of information on road event, traffic accident / incidents, emergency / advance warning information and execute process
Responsibilities
- Identify hazard / alarm / incident and trigger emergency response
- Address current traffic conditions via VMS and manage Traffic Signs where applicable
- Response to live communication with road users via Emergency Phone system
- Make live Public Address announcements during emergency
- Monitoring traffic movement on closed circuit television (CCTV) screens.
- Monitor gauges to ensure proper ventilation, distribution of electric power throughout a facility, system and provide information to maintenance staff in charge for control adjustment.
- Provides relevant information and statistic report to immediate superior for analysis to determine trends affecting the traffic operations
- To assist and disseminate action plan during emergency crisis
- Navigate the preparation of flood vs. traffic diversion processes (Mode 1, II & III)
- Attend the road user from the SMART Hotline appropriately and professionally.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM/MCE or its Equivalent. Diploma holders is preferred and encourage to apply
- Willingness to work on shift rotation including weekends and Public Holidays
- Expressive and MUST computer literate with the Microsoft Office application
- Good communication skills both oral and written in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Ex- military or police personnel are encouraged to apply.
PATROLMAN
The Job
This person will be responsible for providing SMART motorist with the emergency services and traffic management on 24 hours basis.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsible to provide on –site surveillance patrolling during normal operation.
- Responses to Tunnel Traffic Controller processes
- Facilitate maintenance team with traffic management during maintenance works.
- Facilitate SMART motorist to safety evacuation during emergency.
- Provide incident record, information and statistic report to management.
- Coordinate with BOMBA/Police/Ambulance/ Towing and other agencies during emergency.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM/MCE or its Equivalent. Without experience is preferred and encourage to apply
- Must have Class B2 & D driving licences
- Willingness to work on shift rotation including weekends and Public Holidays
- Good communication skills both oral and written in Bahasa Malaysia and English is advantage
- Ex- military or police personnel are encouraged to apply.
- Good interpersonal, action oriented and nimble.
